Dear Head Sister (Can't think of any other way of addressing you),
I don't know if this e-mail will reach sister Sinha (Our Head Sister). However I would like to take a chance. I would be grateful to the person who might be reading this e-mail if you could forward it to her.
I happened to meet one of my class mates in Mumbai today. You might think what is so great about it. But the fact remained that we met almost after a decade. We were recollecting those beautiful old school days. Coming back I sat over the internet to find some contact details of our school. Finally got it.
Sister, I was thinking of those days when you used to call my parents at the end of every semester. Really felt how patient you had been in accepting our mischieves and guiding us through out.
I remembered the days when I came back to school for conducting the admission procedure for the B-School that I was a part of.
We used to curse the strict discipline that we observed in school. However without that I would not have reached the position that I am in today.
I would like to thank each of our teachers (Sister Mukherjee, SC sister, Kaveri sister, our very own Karan sir, Sarmistha sister... Please pardon me if I am missing out on some names) for guiding us towards a bright career. Trust me I have deepest gratitude towards each of them.
Sister, I have a request for you. Let's organize an alumni meet in the school. It might not be a grand success upfront, but yes it will mark a beginning. I volunteer to organize the meet. I am sure there will be hundreds of other students who will join hands to make this meet a huge success. All I need is your permission and support .
Sister, I would be overjoyed if you receive this e-mail and send me your contact no.
Regards,
Deep Banerjee

Sister Sinha
I am not sure if it is correct on my part to address this email to you since i am not sure if this is your email id. However when i suddenly encountered the website http://www.vmskolkata.org, i had a strange feeling, a feeling of mixed emotions ,of excitement and nostalgia ...
It feels great to see my school on the internet and also nostalgic to remember those days ... The very first thing that comes to my mind about VMS is our new building which i visited when i got into VMS in class VI in the year 1994. Grammar was always my weakling , and what made it even tough class IX onwards was that 'Sister Sinha' used to take that class. I could still remember the pin drop silence that was observed during the grammar classes. Mukherjee sister teaching us Hindi ( my third language ) , Pal Uncle catching us for various reasons while we were entering the campus ,
occasional punishments for certain mischieves, the inter school Kho-Kho tournament, the annual science exhibition , the
bhog we used to have on 12 Jan.. are few of the many moments that i cherish these days. I along with my friends have seen a truly wonderful institution in the making ... and today feel proud of the teachers, students and all the associated staffs who are part of VMS. Whenever i come across wonderful results by the students , be it in academics, sports or other extra-curricular activities .. i really feel myself to be a part of that success.
Before i end, would just like to introduce myself .. I passed ICSE in 1998 and ISC in 2000 from VMS and am employed for the past 4 years with Cognizant Technology Solutions India Pvt Ltd as a software engineer. I wish the VMS family all the successes for the future and wish you a very good health to guide the institution to the peak .......
Regards,
Arindam Chatterjee.

Dear Principal Sister
I exactly don't know what made me visit my school's website after so many years, probably there is a sort of bond that exist between your students and our school that is hard to ignore. I thought of mailing you directly but don't know your mail id so I am sending you this mail in this id.
How are you and how is our very own VMS going. Its is really great pleasure for me to know that my very own school is showered with so many awards which include the most auspicious international school award. I am really proud to be a student of your school for 13 years and in that thirteen years apart from academics the most important thing that had been taught to us how to become a good disciplined person in life and this lesson that I got from my school has really helped me in my life. Presently I am working in Tata Consultancy Services Limited (TCS) and located in Mumbai in SBI project.
I really have lot to say and thank you but I am really falling short of words, I wish my school all the success.
Thanks and Regards

Dear Head Sister,
I, Arnab Sen Gupta, an ex-student of VMS (ICSE Batch-2001 and ISC Batch-2003) would like to congratulate you on the occasion of our school receiving the prestigious British Council International School Award and the Telegraph School Award (2006). I would like to thank the efforts of all the schoolteachers, students and specially your valuable guidance for this triumph that we have achieved.
I am presently a student of B.Tech. (4th Year) at Govt. College of Engineering and Ceramic Technology, Kolkata. My subject is Ceramic Technology.
My academic career is presently in good shape and I am grateful to VMS for this. I feel that my foundation stands on the base that was constructed by my dear school.
In college, all my professors see me as the most decent, well-behaved and obedient boy of all the students studying here. They even go this far to say “we get a brilliant impression about your school from your attitudes as you reflect the way you were nurtured and brought up in school”.
I rank 1st in my college with a record 9.20 Grade out of 10.
Jindal South West Steel Ltd. has selected me through campus recruit as well.
I am presently involved in research projects with my Professor (Dr. A. K. Bandyopadhyay, a renowned Physicist) and his American counterpart Dr. V.Gopalan of Pennsylvania State University (USA).
I have been recently invited by University of New Orleans (USA) to present my project (as a full presentation) at the 15th International Conference on Composites and Nano Engineering, ICCE-15 July 15-21, 2007 in Haikou, Hainan Island, China.
The success I have gained so far started its momentum the day I got out of VMS fully equipped with my knowledge and values.
I thank VMS and You especially for the identity that you have given me and I hope to carry forward the name of my school to reach new heights in future.
Thanking You.
With deep gratitude,
Arnab Sen Gupta.

Dear Ms Sinha / The Principal,
I was greatly delighted after I got the VMS website link. I live in Behala Chowrasta, Kolkata and had been a student of the school from Nursery II at Kalicharan Dutta Road till 10th standard when I passed ICSE on 1998 from Joka . This very long attachment with the school has build a strong bond between us. I can still recollect the images of teachers, you(Ms Sinha), Ms Mukherjee sister, Mr Chandra and friends and our assembly lines at Joka school for prayers. I saw the school grow up right in front of my eyes.
Today, I am very much excited when I see the dash board of www.vmskolkata.org displaying the high Rankers in Examinations of all kind. I feel very proud even more when I hear people recognizing my school in one of the finest schools in Kolkata.
Right now I am Chicago and working for Tata Consultancy Services for an Insurance Company of USA. I have lately visited the Art Institute of Chicago where Swami Vivekananda addressed the Parliament of Religion in 1893. This visit has re-energized me for everything about the school.
I am in touch and networked with lots of my class mates of VMS and our seniors/juniors in the school who are successful and leaders and established in India and around the world. We all feel alike for the school and like to come to school one day.
I am very much thankful to all my teachers and my school for building me what I am today.
